I have removed quite a bit of paint from different materials and the best way I have found is to pour rubbing alcohol on the paint and use a tooth brush to loosen it. Once you get it off you can wipe the sofa with a damp cloth and blot dry with a towel.How to get the paint stain out of fabric?
I've found one of the better ways is just to use white spirit or paint remover. Put some sparingly on a scourer pad and work it into the stain. If the paint is in an inconspicuous area (i.e. if it isn't seen or is hidden away) you could try to scratch the stain out but that takes time and patience. To the first solution, once you have dabbed the paint remover on, scrub heavily until the stain disappears, then dab it dry with a cloth.
