How much would a professional painter cost to paint the inside of a house?

thanksHow much would a professional painter cost to paint the inside of a house?
Between $200 and $10,000. What kind of shape are the walls in? What colors are the walls, and what colors will they be painted? When is the last time they were painted? How big is your house? One or two story? How much furniture needs to be moved? Where do you live? What kind of paint is the painter using? All of these questions affect the cost of the project. Your best bet is to have several painters give you an estimate. Be sure to compare the bids closely. A painter using Glidden will cost less than one using Benjamin Moore, but you'll get a MUCH better job with Moore. Hope this helps.How much would a professional painter cost to paint the inside of a house?
Hmm, a smart and logical action to take would be to get free estimates from local painting contractors in your area who could provide you information on the cost of painting your house to your desire. Because the cost of labor varies by location, it is wise not to rely on estimates found here on Yah.

Hmm, here is a handyman site that I came across, which has a section dedicated to walls and painting, where you'll find a text-link ad that offers up to four (4) Free Estimates from such local painting contractors in your area (scroll down a bit and it's the text-link towards the middle of the page):

Click on the ';Find Local Painting Services. Get Up to 4 Quotes Free'; text link. Guessing on here is not as productive as getting a quote upon which you can rely. Trust me, from general experience, you'll be glad that you got concrete estimates.
it really depends on a number of factors like what kind of prep work is required, patch holes, different color trim/celings, amount of trim. for a professional maybe around $2 per square footage of your home.

  • How to apply paint on metal?can gloss paint be used for it?

    You must first use a metal primer.Then you can put gloss paint over it.

    I wish you had said what you are painting.You can use ';Rustoleum';Primer and finish coat for almost anything.I wouldn't use water base paint for metal.9/21How to apply paint on metal?can gloss paint be used for it?
    What are you painting? Is it indoor or outdoor? Indoor, you can use eggshell [ sort of satin finish] on radiators, as well as the various gloss paints. Make sure you rub off all loose paint and give a primer coat if the item hasn''t been painted before.

    Outdoors, for things like decorative lamp posts, gates, garden furniture, I always find Hammerite paint the best. Again , good prep is essential. If you are painting aluminium garden furniture, you need a special red coloured primer first as ordinary primer doesn't seem to work.

    Whatever it is go to you nearest B%26amp;Q/ Home Depot and ask advise, the folk there will give you good advice.How to apply paint on metal?can gloss paint be used for it?
    If the metal is already painted, then you paint it the same way and with the same paint as you would for wood. One undercoat and then one gloss.

    If the metal is bare then it needs to be primed. If the metal is ferrous (iron based) then you use red oxide primer. If it is non ferrous( galvanaised, aluminium, zinc) then an etching primer is required. Then you paint as you would, wood.
    hey there, i'm a painter and decorator.... it would help if you said what kind of metal you are painting! if it is your normal out door railings you can use normal undercoat then gloss, if it is new railings and are galvanised steel you must give them a coat of T-wash either that the paint with flake of in a matter of months! if if is lead you can use hammerite.... one more thing.... make sure all surfaces are rubbed down and all rust is scraped and dusted down well before you apply paint.... gd luck
    First clean up the surface and make it rust free, then apply metallic primer, let it dry then go for any enamel of any type of metallic paint. yes you can find many types of glossy paints in market for metal.
    yes you can,make sure surface is rust free,you can get gloss paint that tells you on the can wether its for metal or wood,or for both metal and wood.like dulux or hammerite.
    Use Hammerite. No primer needed, except on galvanised or aluminium. You can even paint directly onto rust, provided it isn't loose or flaking. Stocked by Halfords, Brewers or any Paint Store.
    Yes you can use regular gloss paint on metal although if possible apply with a small foam roller and maybe give it a second coat after.

    The clear coat has baked off from the sun. I would buff off whats left of the clear coat and get a couple rattle cans of clear coat n spray itHow to paint this car?
    your clear coat part of the paint job has died. That is what you are seeing. The EPA has made it hard for folks at home to do a repaint that uses this process. Look for a MACCO or Earl Schib paint place and consult them.

    (Yes I know you are Not in EPA territory, BUT the car makers have adapted the EPA standards so you are stuck with the type of paint they used to paint the car)
    The clear coat has peeled off of the car. You would need to sand off the remaining clear coat and then scuff up the paint with a scuff pad then reclear it.
    I'd bring it to a shop

    Give a blue under coat with a flame over coat

    that would come out muh better

    If I were to mix paint how would I get the skin color of Captain K'nuckles from Flapjack?

    In my art class at school we have to trace a picture and paint with as close to the color as possible. I'm doing the Captain from the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. However, I just can't quite get his skin color right. I've tried a bunch of blue-green combinations with varied degrees of white and/or black. The results have been close though not quite the color I'm looking for. My teacher said its looking close enough but that's not gonna stop it from bothering me xD

    Any ideas? It's like there's a strong hint of green in a tinted blue, but anytime I add a little more green it comes out too green (and taking away too much green makes it not green enough if that makes sense)If I were to mix paint how would I get the skin color of Captain K'nuckles from Flapjack?
    you should add gray, blue, and only a little green together.

    How to take decals off the car window & car paint??

    i have 2 decals i'd like to remove from my car. one is a sticker on the paint part of my car (right above the silver bumper, next to the word ';explorer'; on my ford explorer) and one that is a window decal that is applied directly on the window from the outside. is there a safe way i can take these off without harming the window??? please help!!!How to take decals off the car window %26amp; car paint??
    The window sticker can be safely removed with razor blade or razor scraper. If there's some gummy glue residue left use Goo gone which Walmart sells. On the paint try heating it with a hair dryer and peeling it off with your fingers. Easy with the hair dryer. Goo gone also works here on glue residue.How to take decals off the car window %26amp; car paint??
    I learned this from a professional, and have done it this way at work. Heat the sticker with a heat gun or a blow drier set to HEAT. If you have a plastic putty knife, this next part won't burn your fingers. Start to peel one corner of the sticker while applying heat. Grab the piece of the sticker that is loose, and gently pull while applying heat. You can use tweezers or pliers to pull the sticker if it's too hot on your fingers. If the whole sticker did not come off, use a plastic putty knife with the heat to gently scrape the rest off. Once the sticker is off, Goo-Gone, Goof-Off, or almost any citrus based solvent will remove the rest of the glue. Then, to remove the solvent, clean with Windex or any ammonia based window cleaner. The area under the sticker that was on the painted surface may have to be buffed out with polishing compound, but you can try a little tooth paste on a cotton rag to buff it out.

    P.S. DO NOT USE A RAZOR BLADE. It WILL scratch glass.

    TMFI? I hope not. Good luck.
    Heat the stickers w/a blow dryer they'll usually come off. Or soak them well w/soap and water.
    The professionals use a rubber eraser wheel attached to a drill. They work amazingly well.

    There is a product called Sticker Shock - I bought some at a Napa auto parts store it seems to work pretty well and is paint safe. It softens the adhesive and the stickers will peel off.
    The window is the easiest. Just use a razor blade, and scrape it off - you will not hurt the glass. Use wd40 or nail polish remover on a rag to get the glue off the window if there is any left over. You could also use a paint stripper or thinner like turpentine.

    The painted surface, you can try peeling as much as you can with your finger nail, then use wd40 on a rag to get the glue off. Don't use any strong solvents, they may take the paint off. A hot blowdryer can help peel this one away too.
    all you have to do is take a heat gun or a blowdryer will work just as good, it will just take a little longer. Just heat till the glue gets warm and the sticker should just come right off
    yup. heat gun or blow dryer will work... for the one on the window you can use a razor blade without hurting the glass, as long as it is on the outside and not tinted...

  • How much does it cost to custom paint a jeep wrangler?

    I suppose it depends upon how much detail you want in your custom paint job. You can get a simple and good-quality, one color re-paint of your entire car for around $800. If you wanted to do something like Zebra or Tiger Stripes, then you might pay nearly $3,000. Hello.

    Hope you are fine.

    Remove Orange Tips

    Before you head out to a major airsoft event, you may want to remove orange tips from your airsoft guns. Removing orange will help you blend into the environment more, and make your gun look much better.

    There are several different methods you can use when you decide to remove orange tips.

    You can Goo Gone to remove orange tips from your airsoft rifles. This method is only effective if there is black under the orange paint. This process of removing orange takes quite a bit of work, but the end result is fantastic. Classic Army airsoft rifles usually work well with this method of removing orange airsoft tips.

    First of all, remove the flashhider from the airsoft gun, and set it on a paper plate. Purchase some Goo Gone, which is a paint remover. Get some Q-tips and paper towel ready, and begin scrubbing the orange tip with soaked paper towel. It will take quite a bit of time to remove the orange with this method. The Goo Gone needs to soak into the orange before it can be removed.

    For those tips that do not work with Goo Gone, the next solution to remove orange from tips is to spray paint. Find black spray paint with a texture similar to the rest of your gun. Remove the orange tip from the gun, and place it upright on a piece of cardboard outside. Steady it vertically with a nail through the cardboard if needed. Do quick, short sprays on the flashhider until the orange is covered. Give it at least 2-3 coats of black paint to completely remove orange from tips. Let the paint dry 1 hour before touching it.

    If you can't remove the flashhider from the gun, you have to take precautions to covering the gun from paint when you remove orange from tips. Use tape to cover the barrel of the gun, all the way up to the edge of the orange flashhider. Push a piece of cardboard over the barrel so that it protects the rest of the gun from the spray paint while you remove orange.

    Then, carefully fill the inside of the barrel with paper to prevent paint from getting on the barrel. Be sure there are no ways paint can get inside the barrel, and begin spray painting. Don't apply the paint thickly, so that the paint does not run inside the barrel at all.

    So hope you like it. Thank you.
    they got some stuff call spray gun cleaner its like alcohol x10 stuff is potent and flammable most car paint and auto retailers should have it
    i was ganna say alcohol but yea i just now read what ur doing lol

    My cat is covered in paint! how to remove?!?

    HELP! we're having our guest room painted, and my three month old kitten just jumped in the bucket!! Does anyone know how to remove paint from her fur without harming her skin or health!? I have regular kitten shampoo but before i put her in the water, i wanna hear what you guys might suggest?! PLEASE HELP!!My cat is covered in paint! how to remove?!?
    shave the cat ,no seriously if the paint is water based just wash the cat with water and it should come out.My cat is covered in paint! how to remove?!?
    I'm going to assume the paint is water based. If so, shampoo should work but depending on the color of the paint, your kitten may take some time to get back it's natural color. If oil based I would not recomment gasoline or turpentine since the fumes could be harmful to you both. Call your vet - I'm sure this may be a first and will become a popular lunchroom topic!

    Also, bless your kitten's little heart for giving me quite the laugh. I just had to have my companion of 17 1/2 years euthanized and have been crying pretty much non-stop for 2 days. Marty was quite the prankster but he never jumped into a paint can! I would suggest you begin a ';Marely %26amp; Me'; type journal for your little kitten, with a start like that you've got lots of joys ahead in the years!
    i was painting our porch ealier this year and my cat skye was watching near me an a blob on paint fell on her an she licked it off i gave her lots of fresh water and got the rest of with my hands and tissue and she was fine. i kept an eye on her that day though. if i was you id plonk her in the sink and rinse her off maybe with a tiny bit of shampoo and dont let her lick it and maybe itd be a good idea to phone the vet, just to see what they say. hope this helps
    Call the emergecy vet now! I'm serious. Most paint today is not toxic, but it depends on how much paint is on the kitten! The vet will tell you what you can use or do now.

    Whatever you do, do NOT allow her to be licking her fur. I sure hope its not a lot of paint on her.
    I would say get some gasoline on a rag and wipe her off, but since you say she jumped into the bucket, bathing it in soap and water would probably be best.
    Get pet shampoo and wash until the paint come out. while your washing your cat, close all of the doors, so your cat can't get away from the water. Hope I helped! :D
    Water and shampoo. I would also put in a call to your vet. At this point your cat has probably ingested some of the paint.
    First of all call your vet and ask them what to do. But do NOT let her lick herself because the paint might be toxic. Hope I helped some :)
    Dawn dish soap. They use this to clean duck and birds who are coated with oil from Oil spills.

    Depends on the type of paint job. The average seems to be $3000 for a newer vehicle. If you are wanting pearlescent or a two-tone, you are going to shell out a few thousand more.

    your going to have to buy red paint, it is a primary color so you can't combine colors to create red.
    Printers make Red by combining Yellow and Magenta (called process blue) in equal proportion. These are transparent color inks. Acrylics would be non-transparent, solid colors. Your primary colors are then Red, Yellow and Blue. From these you make the other colors. You cannot make Red this way.

    RUDE!!!!!!!!!
    I would need a better estimation of the square footage of the house. And of course the size of the babies being used. It is actually quite easy to figure out though. Her is how you can figure this out for yourself Barney style.

    1: Take the sizes of the walls and multiply by the number of the walls being measured.

    2: Take the number of babies used and multiply that by the body mass index.

    3: Divide number 2 from number 1 and then multiple by 3.

    4: Factor in the Beer Factor and add either 6, 12 or 24. Multiple this by either 10, 12 or 16 (oz)

    5: Add 3 to 4 and you have the exact number of babies required to paint a house.

    Now this is only good for one coat. If you need to do 2 coats then multiply by 2. Don't get confused on the splatter effect like most folks. This formula is the best means. Splatter is too inconsistent.

    Hope this helps.

    Have a great day

    and folks relax. There is no dumb question but the one not asked.

    Is it hard to put flake in my clear coat when i paint it and how much should i pay to have it done.?

    and what flake will go good with a sliver color car? thankIs it hard to put flake in my clear coat when i paint it and how much should i pay to have it done.?
    As far as putting the metal flake in the clear, that is not hard at all. You can either use a midcoat clear (recommended) or simply add it to a coat of your topcoat clear. Since the car in question is silver, it is already a metallic color. Typically, metal flakes look better applied to solid colors. A metal flake over silver may not show up very well, or it could look ';dirty';. However, if you used a rainbow flake, it may look okay. PPG makes a really nice rainbow flake that is really fine, almost like pearl. It is called Prizmatique. House of Kolor also makes some really nice metal flakes of different colors and sizes. As far as price, are you talking about the price to have it painted, or the price of the metal flake? Metal flake prices can range greatly depending on the brand. It also depends on how the store will sell it to you. Some places may sell it by the ounce and some places you'll have no choice but to purchase a whole bottle/jar. The clearcoat prices also range greatly by brand and grade. The cost of having a bodyshop painting it for you will also range in price depending on the quality of the work. I would suggest asking around to find out who does the best custom work in your area. In general, a great paint job is going to cost you! It isn't going to be cheap, you get what you pay for. But, if you feel the price is unreasonable or out of your price range, go to another shop. Get some estimates, and look at chip books. If a shop does primarily custom work, they may have their own mixing system and could have metal flakes and clears there to use. This may save you some money because you only have to purchase what you need. Plus, they will be able to give you better advice about metal flakes and which to use. If the finish on the car is in good shape, it won't take long or cost a fortune to have it cleared. Is the car already silver? And is it a factory finish? What kind of car or you working with? Hope this helps! :)Is it hard to put flake in my clear coat when i paint it and how much should i pay to have it done.?
    Silver is a hard color to paint. It ';tiger stripes'; so you have to make sure you cross the spray pattern when you spray it. That said, your paint supplier can tell you the type, and amount of flake that will work best for your color and clear coat combination. A good trick is to put a marble or ball bearing (make sure they are clean) in your paint cup. This will help keep your flake particles suspended in your cup and give you even coverage. Practice on something other than your car before you spray your car. then you'll see what the paint will do to you as well as for you. Make sure you ware a mask, and have good ventilation and dust control.

    powder coating is a great method, if you have the money, but it is very spendy. if you wish to do it yourself you can use any paint that specifies that it is for use on metal. the important thing to know when you are painting wheels is that you must have the wheels completely clean and paint free before you start. i recomend using a wire wheel to get the dirt and old paint off. some wire wheels will leave to smooth a finish to get the paint to stick, so you'll probably want to scuff the surface with around an 80 grit piece of sandpaper. then use rubbing alcohol to clean remaining dust and debris off the wheels. it's always a good idea to use a decent primer as a base before actually applying the paint. be sure that when you apply the paint and primer you don't paint the bead seating area of the wheels, as that may cause a headache later on with keeping air in the tires.How to paint steel rims?

    Gloss enamel Alkyd was used to paint stair treads.Not done correctly. Stroke marks! How do I fix? ?

    Sanding out will be a nightmare, should they be stripped via hot gun or chemical or can I topcoat with another product to smooth out?Gloss enamel Alkyd was used to paint stair treads.Not done correctly. Stroke marks! How do I fix? ?
    Tuff call. First, if you decide to strip the problem paint job, I'd advise using a Heat Gun rather than chemical. A heat gun will do the job with much less mess and less time. Even so, the treads will have to be sanded before you can repaint; and you'll probably have to prime before top-coating.

    I don't see why you couldn't go over the existing paint with another coat. Surfaces should be lightly sanded first to remove the ';gloss'; and be sure to use oil-based enamel. With stair treads having high traffic use, I'd use industrial grade, commercial grade, or exterior grade porch and floor enamel. It's more expensive, but definitely worth the additional dollars.Gloss enamel Alkyd was used to paint stair treads.Not done correctly. Stroke marks! How do I fix? ?
    To add to the last post, you wouldn't have to sand off ALL the paint. Just enough to cut off the brush marks and get back to a smooth surface. Use a fairly fine paper (220 grit or finer) and a sanding block to have a smooth sanding surface, and have at it. It really wouldn't take too long to get down to a dead-flat base for the final coat. After that, use a good brush, and don't go over the same area again and again. Let the paint flow and level itself.
    You may want to lightly sand the paint to knock down the high parts. The important thing to do when you repaint is to use a soft bristled (good, high quality) brush. The brush marks are usually a result of trying to apply too much paint at one time and from using a cheap, course, low quality brush. Try to compare the brushes to this. Which one slides across your skin better, silk (a good quality brush) or burlap (a cheap, disposable brush). I hope that helps.
    unless you are spraying or rolling your treads you will never eliminate the brush marks but you can make them less noticeable by using a top quality brush as far as correcting the problem you have now try using a course wet and dry sand paper and wet sand the that is if your paint has fully cured
    life_lov answer is right on - you may also want to use a primer - and if to are going to change the color have the paint dept. put that color pigment in the primer -

    How to paint an aluminum boat?

    I have refinished a couple of pearly monarchs in the past year. I've decided that the best paint to use for this job would be paint used in the auto refinishing systems 1st sanding with 240 grit paper then cleaning with a mild solvent degreaser ensuring surface is dust free 2nd apply 1 - 2 coats of two-pack etch primmer leave for about 4-5 hours then lightly rub with a grey scotchbrite repeat the degreasing process then its ready to put a top-coat on. I have found that two-pack acrylic paint with a plastisizer additive works best the additive give a very durable surface and reduces chips and scrapes. O hope this has been helpful.How to paint an aluminum boat?
    http://www.paintcenter.org/rj/sep03i.cfmHow to paint an aluminum boat?
    You'll need an etching chemical or a self-etching primer. Aluminum is notorious for being difficult to stick finishes to.

    For example, I'll scrub the boat with Alumaprep using a scotchbrite pad. Next I'll brush on Alodine, and rinse. Next put on 3-4 coats of Interprotect 2000/2001E. This is an epoxy-based barrier coat for fiberglass and a primer for metals as well. Then you can apply your finish as you like. If you're painting the bottom for salt-water use, go with something like Trilux 33 or Alumaprotect. You'll need 3-4 coats again.
    Just like anything else. Prep the metal by sanding and then spray it.

    How do u put a photo in the painting i want to put the original photo on canvas & paint around the photo.?

    i know this sounds wierd but ive seen a painting like this before i just want to know the steps.How do u put a photo in the painting i want to put the original photo on canvas %26amp; paint around the photo.?
    If its digital you print it on canvas, and here you go.

    It its regular photograph printed on paper you scan it, high res, print on canvas and grab your paints.

    You need to find a printing facility next to you that has the option to print on canvas. I know Office Max does it at some locations.

    Good luckHow do u put a photo in the painting i want to put the original photo on canvas %26amp; paint around the photo.?
    Your question is a little fuzzy so I will assume this: You have a canvas and you want to put an original photo onto the canvas. If not, the last answer is probably the way you want to go. You can try Kinko's too. You can also use the method below if you want to adhere a laser print to the canvas. Just spray wet the paper first otherwise it will buckle. An inkjet copy will smudge but you could try, wet paper on back.

    The best way to adhere the photo to the canvas is to use acrylic medium, something a little thicker like gel medium (you could use Elmer's glue but its a little too fluid). Lightly paint the back of the photo with the gel, covering the surface. Use a pile of books or magazines behind the canvas so you have a solid backing. Place the photo on the canvas and smooth down hard to adhere. Wipe off extra gel from the sides of the photo. You will need freezer paper, shiny side down to place over the photo (ask the butcher or buy at supermarket) so the paper won't stick to the gel. Place books on top of paper to give even weight. Let dry (a couple of hours) and carefully lift off the freezer paper.

    Acrylic medium is an excellent permanent glue for just about anything.
    I had some pictures printed on canvas by the guys at DarkwoodGraphics.com. They are super nice and really helpful and cheaper than Kinko's. From what it sounds like, say you wanted the pictures total size 18x24 but you only want the print to be 11x17, you could have them print the with a large border around it so you could paint on the rest. Good Luck!
    Kind of like a collage? You could just ';glue'; it on with matte medium since you can blend it in with your paints.

    Three men took 7 days to paint the hull of a boat, how long would it have taken 5 men?

    Please explain how to work outThree men took 7 days to paint the hull of a boat, how long would it have taken 5 men?
    I think I remember this from High school, basically all you do is multiply 3*7=21 (';man-days';) then find a similar looking product on the right side so

    3*7=5*x

    (which is also equal to 21)

    then you have

    21=5*x

    divide by 5 men

    21/5= x days

    (in other words it always takes the same amount of ';man- days';)

    so the answer to your question would be 21/5 = 4.2 daysThree men took 7 days to paint the hull of a boat, how long would it have taken 5 men?
    rate = one third boat per 7 days per man

    (1 man * 7 days)/((1/3)boat) / (5 men) = 7*3/5 = 4.2 days
    It looks to me lke the relationship is inversel proportional ie the more men you have the less days it takes. so to express this you can say 5 is directly proportional to 1 divided by 7

    So 3: 1 divided by 7

    So 3 : 0.14

    dividing both sides by 3

    = 1 : 0.05

    Now multiplying both sides by 5 you get

    5: 0.238

    Now because it was inversely propprtional we have to find the recipricol of the answer, the easiest way to do this is to convert 0.238 into a faction which is 5 over 21. Now to simplyfy this so it is one over something divide 21 by 5. This leaves us with 1 divided by 4.2. And to find the recipricol of a fraction you just turn it upside down. ie 4.2 divided by 1 which is 4.2

    So the answer is 4.2 days ( I Hope!)
    The capacity of a 3 men to paint = 1/7 part per day

    The individual capacity of a man = 1/7*3 = 1/21 part per day

    The 5 men can complete = (1/21)*5 = 5/21 part per day

    so 5 men can complete full painting = 1/(5/21) = 21/5 days
    mt=mt (men*time)

    So

    3*7=5*t

    Therefore

    (3*7)/5=t

    21/5=t

    t=4.2 days
    For 3 men, it takes 7 days to do the job. For 1 man, it would take 21 days. for 5 men, 21/5 days. 4.2 days.

    a sphereical tank of diameter 20 feet?If 1 gallon of paint covers 400 sq feet, about how many gallons of paint are needed to paint the outside of...?
    The spheree's surface area is 4 Pi R squared = 4 Pi R^2

    20 ft dia = 10 ft radius

    so the surface area is 4 Pi ( 10 ^2)

    = 4 Pi (100)

    = 400 Pi sq ft

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So, 400 Pi/ 400 = Pi gallons or 3.14 gallons. SO you need to purchase 4 gallons, rounded up. Usually you need 2 coats, so double that to 8 gallonsIf 1 gallon of paint covers 400 sq feet, about how many gallons of paint are needed to paint the outside of...?
    1256.63706 sq feet / 400 sq feet
    Personally, I'd simply spray paint it, as long as you don't want anything fancy. Grab some primer and a color of your choice, remove ALL the bike's parts such as the wheels, crankshaft, brake parts and related items and go to town. Be sure to apply the primer first as this is the base that the colored paint sticks too. For a pro to give it a nice paint job, with clear-coat and all..it'll be expensive. My guess is easily over 100 bucks for a good, long lasting paint job.
    Learning how to paint?
    Is there any good dvds on learning how to paint? I want yo start a new hobby. How do you learn to paint? I live in the Los Angeles , Culver City area.Learning how to paint?
    I'm sure there are some good dvds but why not try books from your local library. There are two kinds of books that helped me achieve my goal to become a traditional oil painter, those that teach you about artist materials and their uses and those that teach you painting techniques. It's good to know what style of painting interest you the most and read and study that art and the artist. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name GUERRO1.Learning how to paint?
    Classes are a great way to learn. About.com has a great deal of information on painting. An important tip that is not obvious is that one should dab the paint on with the brush rather than stroke it on. This goes for acrylic and oil paints. Hope that helps.
    Does anyone know how to create thin lines (straight ones, squiggly ones etc) using acrylic paint?
    Im trying to create an abstract art and have tried thinning out the paint using water which didnt work and a flow medium which was also useless????Does anyone know how to create thin lines (straight ones, squiggly ones etc) using acrylic paint?
    Are you using a brush with long thin bristles? Any brush other than that won't give you the lines you are looking for.
    Prepare your paint in a small puddle to a good wet consistency, then wet your brush HALF way up, rolling it around sideways in the paint.
    You have to work fairly fast, but try a few strokes on your palette to see if you have too much or too little paint in the bristles, then if it's good, apply it to your painting. Does anyone know how to create thin lines (straight ones, squiggly ones etc) using acrylic paint?
    I don't know why thinning it with water did not work. I usually just thin the paint to a very smooth consistency (bubbles are your enemies) then take a long thin brush (you can always cut the brush to the perfect size, softer and more flexible the brush the better) and with a slow steady hand make my lines.
    What order are you applying these. Best is to put a dab of paint onto a palette and add small amounts of thinner until you have reached the right consistency. It's all trial and error, there is no formula. Use a straight edge for your straight lines, or drafting tape.
    kbb is not what most dealers use the fact is that most new cars have some repairs done to them and its left to the shops (which rarely is a dealer) choice. cost will depend on color what ur changeing it from (black to whaite or white to black) as for a shop wow dont know whaer you live and if ur doing a color change andyone that bisds it for anything less than 2-5k are hacks and giving u a ';blue light'; special good paints man you can use the bottom high end paint like diamont to good paint like ppg sikkens or house of kolours. most people will be happy as hell with valspar (they own house of kolours). when painting ur car theres alot of info thats needed to u want it jammed and trunk and engine done, is it a color change, is there body work, and just how much are YOU going to do
    Anyone got any idea how to move scratches from spec lens. My husband used a scourer on his to get paint off?
    There is something you could try... it is a CD cleaner and restorer from JML. It comes with a little bottle of liquid that ';fills'; in scratches on CD's so they are playable again. This might well work for his specs as I used it on a pair of sunglasses and they came up a treat.
    You can use a superfine wet sandpaper to get deep scratches out. Start with 800 or 1000 and go finer and finer. Then you can go to an automotive store and get a plastic polish and a small buffing pad that you can put in a drill and polish the lens. The easiest thing is call the place you bought them and see if they buff lenses. Many eyeglass stores do.Anyone got any idea how to move scratches from spec lens. My husband used a scourer on his to get paint off?
    The lenses will need resmoothing and re polishing by an optical engineer. Very expensive, cheaper to buy another pair.
    nope, once it's scrathed, that's it. You'll have to get new lenses
    I agree with nicole, but afterwards try useing the toothpaste.
    He should have gone to Spec Savers! i think once you scratch the lens of glasses they need to be replaced and next time get scratch resistant ones that's what i have had them 3 years and no scratches
    I think you will find there is nothing you can do as anything you do could change the lens and thereby make it different to look through.
    Try taking them to an optician though - they may be able to offer some help.
    You can remove very fine scratches by polishing the lenses with toothpaste. Takes a while but they really smell fresh afterwards.
    thats done it then sorry Oh no more expense
    There is a substance called jewellers rouge that you could try.
    Personally i would try at a jewellers shop to buy some, and then ask the jeweller if he thought it would work. An optician also has machines for polishing, they may do it for you if you ask. Google 'jewellers rouge' you can use it on glass. You can also buy it on line.
    Hi
    I don't think you can - try the optician to see if they can do it. I tried to take out a small scratch with non-scratching miracle stuff that cleans ceramic hobs - major mistake, I had to get new glasses.
    Tips on how to paint my fireplace?
    Also how should i clean my fireplace before painting what should i do?
    My fireplace is red brick from bottom to top.
    It stops right to the ceiling.
    Tips on how to paint my fireplace?
    This is an easy task! Make sure the surface is clean and free of debris. You can use any type of surface cleaner, but I recommend something with a de-greaser in it. Just be sure to rinse the surface. Depending on what color you chose, you may need to prime the surface prior to painting. Choice of paint also varies, but I would go with an oil base to ensure durability.
    ***Helpful Tip***
    Speak to a paint specialist at you local hardware store.Tips on how to paint my fireplace?
    It depends on whether or not you are painting the inside or out. If you paint the out side and not the mantel use a latex because it is a thermal plastic meaning that it expands and contracts with the heat and the cold.
    If you are painting the inside and you plan on using the fireplace then you need to go with a high heat paint and if you plan on using a neutral color then you need to call a paint rep and have him tell you which paint to use
    How can you describe the vernacular in Dutch painting. How do you connect it to Bacon's philosophical ideas
    Sir Francis Bacon proposed that nature is for the use of man, that things from nature are to be used for and by man. Dutch painting, particularly the still life of over-flowing tables, showed the bounty of nature and it's use by man.
    However, Dutch painting also emphasized that all things pass away--the rotting things in the still-life. One could say that although man uses nature, man himself is ruled by the laws of nature and will ultimately die.How can you describe the vernacular in Dutch painting.     My ceilings been painted with watered down paint more water then paint how is it going to effect it?
    I paid someone to paint my popcorn acoustic ceiling in my bedroom. I think he tried to rip me off and instead of painting it, I think he mixed flat wall paint with water in a hand sprayer and just sprayed the ceiling to clean it and make it appear more white. I never saw a single bucket of paint, or any rollers, there was no taping anything off, or using something to cover my floor or plastic for the walls etc. The ceiling looks like puffy mash potatoes. It looks about 3 times the size it use to be, like white clouds. Plus there is a ring around my ceiling fan that extends outward about 5' and its a different color then the rest of the ceiling. How would I know if he sprayed it with water vs painting it? AND if he did over wet the ceiling, what will happen from here? If there is water trapped behind the acoustic now, will it weigh it down and start falling off? Will the water dry out eventually? Will it mold under the acoustic popcorn? Does a painted acoustic ceiling look like puffy clouds 3'; thick when painted for the first time? Is it possible to paint it wihtout leaving any type of mess at all? What should I do?My ceilings been painted with watered down paint more water then paint how is it going to effect it?
    Kndkcook2, painting a popcorn ceiling should be done with a airless sprayer and it sounds to me like you've been had. Yes, there's been too much water or paint applied here and that's why the ceiling looks like this. If it's dry and has this appearance there's a good chance the texture will begin to crack and come down in pieces and maybe sheets. If it does your going to have to scrape down and redo the cieling.
    If your going to have to remedy this yourself I can walk you through a likely fix, but we'll need to get on it pretty much right away before the texture starts to let go. Without actually seeing it I'm making an educated guess from the past experience of going in after someones done what you've described; and if so, the remedy is fairly easy and shouldn't require you to have or purchase or rent expensive tools.
    I'm going to pass you the ball here and now simply say that you need to review who I am. . . if you want me to help you out subsequent to this answer then get back to me and I'll do what I can to further help you out with this. In closing I'm goiing to state that in the future always be sure of the competence and ethic of who you bring into your home to do work; if the individual or persons are not known by reputation, thoroughly check them out by asking for a customer/client list; call them and/or look at their work.
(Test first by running your palm over the wall surface and it should pick up powdery residue. If you have any doubt as to if it's dry, then you probably should wait. No sense messing up a good paint job by trying to rush it.How long i have to let dry the texture in a wall before paint it?
    At least give it 12- 15 hoursHow long i have to let dry the texture in a wall before paint it?
    depends on type of texture. popcorn,knock-down,orange peel,etc. As a general rule 12-24 hrs will do the job just fine. After u let it dry, pick off a bit if u can and see if it crushes into powder between your fingers. if it does, then u can paint.
    When you place your palm on the surface, it shouldn't feel cool to touch. If it does, all of the moisture hasn't yet evaporated.
    When applying PolyCrylic over furniture painted with latex paint, how long do I have to wait for paint to dry?
    I just painted my daughters bedroom furniture with white latex wall paint (Kilz satin finish)....How long should I wait for the paint to dry/cure before I can apply polycrylic to it?
    Also, am I supposed to lightly sand my paint jobs before applying the polycrylic?
    I've never used this stuff before, but I want to protect the paint from being chipped or scraped off of the furniture and this was the only stuff that said I could cover paint with it.
    One more thing, clear satin polycrylic won't yellow over time, will it? I've painted the furniture white. If it WILL, can someone recommend something else I can use to protect the paint jobs that won't yellow?
    Thanks : )When applying PolyCrylic over furniture painted with latex paint, how long do I have to wait for paint to dry?
    I would wait twice the label drying time to be sure it's really dry. If you lightly sand before the polycrylic be sure it's very light or you will wear off the edges. I would probably try putting on a first coat and then sand or steel wool between coats, if you don't want to risk seeing the edges. I don't know if it yellows. Try a sample on an old board for the sanding.
  • Anyone know how to get a starry paint brush in Neopets?
    Either find one through a random event, get one through the tombola or the fruit machine, or get one from Tarla. You can get Tarla by installing the neopets toolbar here: http://toolbar.neopets.com/ When the blue orb flashes yellow, (and it flashes at random times during the course of one day, sometimes skipping a day), click on it. You'll get a pop-up with the text ';After a busy day searching her warehouse, Tarla has a huge surprise for everyone. You better hurry, she is a very busy Ixi. Click here to see what Tarla is giving away,'; and once you click on that link, you will get a prize. If you leave the orb flashing for too long, you will either get a ';dropped'; prize (of lesser value than the true prize) or you will completely miss her. The orb flashes for only minutes.
    She generally gives out paint brushes or valuable petpet pbs/items every few months. FAQ about everything about Tarla: http://www.neopets.com/~Xoe676Anyone know how to get a starry paint brush in Neopets?
    How long does it take for acrylic paint to dry??????
    please helpHow long does it take for acrylic paint to dry??????
    Depending on the thickness of the paint and the surface you are painting on, acrylic paint should be dry to the touch in 1-2 hours. In some cases, it might dry in as little as 20min. You can add an extender medium to acrylic paint to make it dry more slowly if you are doing a painting where you want to blend the paint more. You can also use a fan or a hairdryer set on ';low'; to dry your painting even more quickly.How long does it take for acrylic paint to dry??????
    72 hrs.
    well about 1 min. on most things, just depends how much you put on your project. I use a blow dryer on my paintings, just because i like to hurry up and get it done.
    2 hours to recoat and 8 hours to dry.
    the difference between latex and acrylic latex is the drying time.
    It takes only a few hours, if even that, depending on the thickness of the coat.
    However, it will take a day or two to fully 'set', which means to dry in a hardened and final state.
    The colors will change from their original brilliance and sort of sink in and get flat.
    From there, you will need to re-work the picture either with more acrylics or, preferably, oils.
    How to clean painted kitchen cupboards?
    I painted my kitchen cupboards last summer. After all the cleaning sanding, priming and two coats of paint I did an antique faux finish with some umber glaze. Life got busy and I didn't get around to applying the water based polyurethane potective coating. I want to do that now but I know I need to clean any grease, dirt and dust off first so the polyurethane will stick good. What should I use to clean them with? Please help. Thank you for any answers.How to clean painted kitchen cupboards?
    I wash my painted kitchen cupboards with dishwashing liquid. I just fill up the sink with warm water and add a little bit of dishwashing liquid. You can go over the cupboards again with a new cloth using cold water to remove any traces of the dishwashing liquid. Now your good to go.
    I also use dishwashing liquid on my hardwood floors to clean them and then rinse with cool water. This method was recommended to me as the best way to clean hardwood floors and painted surfaces. The dishwashing liquid doesn't harm the paint or polish on a wood floor and it does a great cleaning job. It's doesn't leave much of a residue, so using a clean cloth to rinse with cool water really does the trick. It also leaves my cupboards and floor nice and shiny.How to clean painted kitchen cupboards?
    I did the same thing only I sealed mine. I use a small amount of ammonia and water to clean mine. I also used this before they were painted.
    How to paint a house?
    Yes. You can use a paint brush.How to paint a house?
    Use a wire brush and a wide-blade putty knife to remove small areas of defective paint. Scrub under the laps of clapboard siding as well as on downspouts and gutters. For speedier work on metal, a wire brush attachment on an electric drill will remove rust and paint with less effort. For more extensive paint removal, invest in a sharp pull scraper -- a tool with a replaceable blade that's capable of stripping old paint all the way down to bare wood with a single scrape. Hold the scraper so the blade is perpendicular to the wood, apply moderate to firm pressure, and drag it along the surface. Keep the blade flat against the wood so it doesn't gouge the surface.How to paint a house?
    You should prime it first. You can use a water based primer on it(Kilz It). Let dry and sand with 220 sandpaper. It might need another coat of primer so just repeat process and then paint with an enamel paint for durability.
    How to paint plywood ?
    You need to sand the wood and apply an undercoat so the wood does not bleed through.How to paint plywood ?
    I'm assuming you mean regular wall paint, the best think you can do is layers of paint, the more layers the smoother the surface would be.... you could try sanding it down to decrease the roughness of the wood, but I'm pretty sure that would just degrade the wood and possibly cause it to fall apart. My recommendation is just layers of paint, make sure you wait for the previously layer to dry completely... good luck How to paint plywood ?
    It needs to be sanded if there are any splinters, depending on what it is for. Then you need to prime it,one coat, with a good primer like Kilz or whatever you prefer. Then painted with indoor paint if its used indoors and outside paint if used outdoors. 2 coats of that.
    I painted a brick wall with one coat of paint and need to know how to remove it.?
    more than likely will have to sandblast it of because the bricks are coarse--you will not have any luck with strippersI painted a brick wall with one coat of paint and need to know how to remove it.?
    Well, you kinda made a mess, but if you really want to get the paint off, you need to blast it off. You can have it professionally done, or get the supplies you need at some hardware or paint stores. Glass bead or walnut shell will remove the paint while not destroying the brick. If you use paint remover, you will soften the paint and actually make it go deeper into the pores of the mortar and brick. Other than that, there is only one answer as the other person stated, re-paint it.I painted a brick wall with one coat of paint and need to know how to remove it.?
    Try a hire place like HSS where you can hire a needle gun which removes paint from brickwork. There's also another power tool but I can find their catalogue at the moment. Sand blasting would work but that would create a lot more mess.
    Try HSS though.
    You did not specify if the wall was inside or outside. If it is inside you got a big mess to deal with. If outside, I would start by renting a heavy duty pressure washer. I had to removed paint from bricks and concrete when I had the trim work on my house painted. Of course, I didn't have as much paint to remove as you do. But, it is worth a try. Also, if just pressure washing does not do the trick you could probably spray on a paint stripper and give it time to process. Apply it with a pump-up hand sprayer,then pressure wash it.
    If the bricks are not ';facing'; bricks, that is, where the visible surface is a thin coating on what is otherwise a ';common'; then sandblasting is the only way to remove the paint, leaving a clean attractive brick surface showing. If the bricks ARE ';facing'; bricks, sandblasting, while removing the paint, will also remove the facing and leave the ';common'; brick surface showing, probably not attractive.
    paint remover
    paint stripper should do the job
    The only thing I know to do is to get a heat gun and a scraper .
    Check out the ';Illustrated Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings'; under 'masonry' There are explicit steps for removing paint from brick.
    Take a seven pound hammer and a good swing, a few well placed blows and you will be left with a pile of bricks. If you wish to remove the paint and keep the wall, try either a good paint remover or several buckets of sand and cement render. Good luck whichever way you go, don't forget to sheet the furnature down as wives get uptight when a layer of dust and rubble coats up your bits and pieces....
    Just keep on painting over it that鈥檚 it, use Paint remover if its spray use graffiti remover
    build another wall after you pull the first one down...wont need painting for a few years then....
    Most likely you did not do any prep work to the wall prior to painting.
    A pressure washer will take it off .
    Admin offers the best, viable solution. Other methods may work in a limited way, but the texture and the porous nature of brick will still show paint residue.
    How to paint in acrylic?
    I fling mine around. Straight out of the tube for heavy texture. I dilute with water and spray from a sort of pastry bag for colour.
    Just start playing around. Acrylic is a very forgiving medium; you can just keep adding paint until you're satisfied. You will find your style eventually. See if you can find a local artist to show you how they work. Etc.How to paint in acrylic?
    You can get this stuff from Hobby Lobby that makes it last longer and makes it build better and makes it shiny and easier to spread. I can't remember what it's called! It's in a white container and it looks like a jar of peanut butter. It's very expensive, tho! You can use water, in the meantime. I hated acrylic because it dried too fast.How to paint in acrylic?
    I wander if that rubber paint would work on it. Sorry, I can not think of the name of it. But, you dip your tools in it and it creates a rubber grip on the handles (it has different colors). I just do not know if it would survive a dish washer but, it might be a solution.
    There is a bunch of them on shEbay. They are cheap also. Party, bonus.
    They sell special paint just for that purpose, one that will take the wear of the harsh detergent. Check with stores that sell large appliances like Sears, HD, or Lowes
    Depending on the brand you could possibly order a replacement rack. I know that a replacement will cost you quite a bit though, depending on how much you want to spend. Or if you a do it yourselfer then I would recommend a good spray paint, like a kilz product or something simular to it. Once the primer dries then you are ready for the next step of painting it. Make sure you use paint that is for metal and plastic. You will need to make sure you have good coverage.
    Dishwashers are fairly economical now days. It would be easier and probably cost wise, cheaper to replace it.
    buy a new one their cheap or r u?
    i need it for facebook.also it says there is not enough memory or resources to complete operation.My paint,on my computer has messed up how to fix?
    A link and some suggestions for a better working computer:
    A) Check here for a possible solution: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/129545
    B) Sometimes the computer just needs a bit of internal cleaning, check these 3 suggestions that should get you a faster system (repeat every two month or so).
    1) As you browse the web, browsers stores information about the websites you visit and more. Usually, it's helpful to have this information stored on your computer because it can improve web browsing speed. You have to delete that information once in a while as your cache fills up.
    In the following paragraphs, I'll tell you about two methods for two of the most in use browsers (IE7 and Firefox 3):
    Method One (now):
    In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu and then choose click Delete Browsing History from the list.
    In the box that opens, click the Delete all button (bottom left) and then click Yes.
    In Firefox, go to tools, clear private data, make sure all boxes are checked and then click on the clear private data now button.
    Method Two (in the future):
    In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu and then choose click Delete Browsing History from the list.
    In the box that opens, do the following steps (in order)
    1) click the button near Temporary Internet Files, click Yes and wait for the box that opens to close.
    2) click the button near History, click Yes and wait for the box that opens to close.
    Finally, click the close button (bottom right) to finish.
    In Firefox, Go to tools, clear private data and uncheck all except Browsing History, Cache and Authenticated Sessions boxes and then click on the clear private data now button.
    For older versions of both or other browsers (Opera, Netscape, Chrome, ETC), check their respective help files for the equivalent.
    Notes: You should close your browser ( This is good for Internet Explorer and Firefox ) when you're done to clear cookies that are still in memory from your current browsing session.
    And don't worry, deleting all browsing history does not delete your list of favorites, subscribed feeds or documents that you saved on your computer. It only deletes temporary files, browsing history, cookies, saved form information, and saved passwords inside the browser.
    2) A good cleanup of the hard disk is never done in vain. Use this freeware program to do a complete job of it:
    http://www.glaryutilities.com/gu.html
    Description: Glary Utilities is a collection of system tools and utilities to allow you to clean system junk files, invalid registry entries and Internet traces. You can also manage and delete browser add-ons, analyze disk space usage and find duplicate files.
    3) The Java Runtime Environment can cause slowdowns if you made updates, you should use a free program I use myself called JavaRa to get the latest version of the JRE and remove the older versions. Find more information here: http://raproducts.org/javara.html and the download link on this page: http://raproducts.org/
    ( A word of caution, with programs this powerful, be sure to read all help files and instructions twice so that you can fix it once ! )
    Hope this helps
    QD 1956
    P.S.: It is a good practice, after you have done the above, to do a FULL scan with antivirus and antispyware.
  • Is there a way to paint over Vynle Drywall. If so, how ?
    I think you mean ';vinyl covered drywall';. This type of drywall was generally used in Kitchens and Bathrooms. Sure, you can paint it, but don't expect it to be a ';permanent'; type of repair. Vinyl is a plastic, and plastic does not absorb anything. Paint (for proper adhesion) needs to be somewhat absorbed into the material that it's being applied on. As a construction specification writer, when I encountered this, I generally would ';spec'; an overlay using 1/4'; drywall (this can be hard to find, but it is available) or 3/8'; drywall (usually easy to find). You simply secure the new drywall on top of the old by gluing/screwing, then tape/spackle and finish the new drywall. If in a Kitchen or Bath, use a good quality low-lustre satin paint (I've had good luck with Sears ';Easy Living'; paint) and paint your new walls. For doors and windows that you encounter, remove the trim, extend the door/window jambs with wood to allow for the new overlay thickness, then either reinstall the existing trim or install new - your choice. Hopefully this all makes sense to you, if you have additional questions, drop me a line at keyboard.king@yahoo.com and I'll try to help.Is there a way to paint over Vynle Drywall. If so, how ?
    well a good way of putting emotion across in painting is by painting abstract art created by different marks on the canvas
    i would advice using acrylic paint as this will be the cheapest way. i would buy about 5 tubes of it to begin with, a red a yellow a blue a white and a black but when you realise what colours you use more you can buy different ones
    you could also use the colours to reflect your mood so use dark greens and blues and greys etc... not like bright yellow and pink
    you dont necessarily need brushes to paint with, i have painted with all sorts of different materials like pieces of cardboard, sponge, cloth and my hands and fingers. You just have to experiment to see what you enjoy the most
    just have fun and experiment with different effects and you will love it!I want to start painting. How do I start?
    Go to the arts and crafts store and buy whatever sparks your interest.
    I took a beginner's painting course at college. We used tempera paint, it's like watercolor, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempera
    and the pointillism style
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointillism
    The first thing that you must have in order to start painting is desire, and apparently you have that. But you must have more then desire, you must have the willingness to learn and improve from painting to painting.
    I would encourage you to be creative and do not copy anyone else's work, but paint only your own creations. I too, believe that you must also be accomplished at drawing in order to be a successful painter. There are of course exceptions to this rule as in the case of abstract art, where drawing is not so important, but composition and the use of color is the emphasis.
    Yes, art supplies are rather expensive and should be treated with respect in order to conserve your materials. Brushes should be cleaned thoroughly and the caps should be put on bottles and tubes in order that they do not dry out.
    Art can be a stress reliever and a way to vent your ideas and sometimes emotions from your mind to the canvas. This is the case with many artists of today and yesteryear without a doubt. So I definitely encourage you to pursue the field of art to vent your frustrations whatever they might be.
    I would also encourage you to first pursue the drawing area a little closer before you start painting. There are some sites online where you can study drawing. Pencil and paper are not that expensive and drawing is not just something that is done by children. It is an art in itself. Any media, even crayola can turn into beautiful works of art.
    By all means continue with your plans. What I have said above is only a suggestion. Pursue art if you will and enjoy and May God Bless you and yours.....Nomadic
    A small acrylic paint set would be great. Around 20 dollars and you can get paper in a tablet to paint on. Just go for it and let your creativity take you where you will go.
    I had the same question myself 6 months ago. What worked great for me was in enrolling in a painting class at my local Art Institute. If you don't have one close to you, then I would check the local colleges and community ed programs in your area. I found the class to be very helpful. The teacher gave me all the basics a beginning painter should get. She taught me about the different paints and what the labels meant on each. What different surfaces you can paint on to get different effects canvas of course being the most popular (Side Note: I found this great site that makes custom canvases for artists, http://www.canvascubed.com. Very unique and very affordable). This was definitely the help I needed to really get my painting hobby off the ground.
    As for the expense of painting: After you get your basics items covered, paints and brushes, it's a cheap hobby to keep up with.
    How do you use gliter as metal flake to paint a car?
    i have seen it done and it looks good but i want to make sure i do it rightHow do you use gliter as metal flake to paint a car?
    Brother had a 65 Impala that was painted with Elmers glue and silver glitter. When the glue was dry, the guy coated it with shellac. It was 20 years old when he got it from his father in law and he drove it for another 20 years. Looked like the way it sounds, but it workedHow do you use gliter as metal flake to paint a car?
    You are so far off the mark it is unbelievable. Glitter is not used in automotive paint. Glitter is used by elementary school children. Car's are not painted using rattle can spray paint either. Not even close.
    To get a heavy metallic flake in a paint job, you must use a course aluminum toner. This is all way too technical for you. Do not paint a car if you have not done it before. You will screw up your car big time. There is a lot involved in painting a vehicle properly.
    glitter will NOT work. you need automotive metal flake. Glitter for crafts will melt. Okay. Now first after primer and everything is smooth do your basecoat in whatever color. With a gun in a booth to get it right. Spray paint leaves splotches. I have seen cars with rolled on paint and it looks ok. Usually close to the flake color. Then you put some flake in the clear and spray that with a large tipped gun. Then shoot a lot more clear to bury the roughness of the flake. Or you can do flake without clear with a special gun and then do clear.
    heres the best idea.. take it to a shop that proffesionally does cars!, no messing up, cost a bit more but its worth it.. and they can do what ever you want them to do..
    It really depends on what kind of paint it is. If it is latex, you *might* be able to scrub with hot water and soap.
    If you're not too worried about saving your pants- try scrubbing some fingernail polish remover into it, then washing well. It may work. I'm not sure if acetone (the paint remover) will harm fabric though, but if the jeans are already lost, it couldn't hurt to try :)Will anyone please tell me how to remove paint from my jeans?
    If its solvent based (ie gloss paint) then only sovents will shift it (white spirit).
    Water based paint can be removed with bucket loads of elbow grease and hot water, and lots of rinsing.
    Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't - good luck!
    Go to the hardware store and get a small can of Goof Off... it will do the trick !
    You're kinda screwed. It won't come out hon. Scratching it with your fingernails will only get the surface paint off. You still have it stained all the way through. Hairspray doesn't work, I've tried it.
    If its water based paint, you will get the worst off with hot water and a wash through the machine.
    Why on earth would you wear good clothes while painting?
    Try nail polish remover, paint thinner will bleach your jeans an ruin them...
    have you tried dynamite
    Tell him to wear a condom.
    sucker!
    use scissors and cut it out hehe, paint thinner or goo gone
    thats not paint....
    thinners.
    Hair Spray works.
    *I'm not gay by the way* I just know this.
    all you need is fingernails and quite a bit of patience
    goof off.
    Does anybody know how to clean walls without the paint comming off?
    i have really dirty wallsDoes anybody know how to clean walls without the paint comming off?
    Get a box of TSP at hardware store. Follow directions and this will give you the best results.Does anybody know how to clean walls without the paint comming off?
    It is almost impossible if your home has cheap, flat white paint. I use a Shark steamer on mine without a problem for the kitchen and bath since there is a gloss paint on the walls. Otherwise I use Orange Glo or Simple Green to remove oily residue and dirt.
    Once you start, you may even be sorry you started it if you have, say a flat paint on dry wall. You don't say what kind of paint treatment is on your walls. Gloss, semi gloss, eggshell, flat, etc. Come back and tell us more so we may help you.
    repaint the walls.same color , one coat, in satin, so you can clean it easily when you get it all funked up again.
    Warm water with only half the recommended cleaner as noted on the mixing instructions of whatever product you choose to use.
    get some all purpose cleaner and dilute it to one cup cleaner to one gallon water and you will be fine for tough spots use a magic eraser.
    Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
    Does any one knows how to paint the cars in GT3 space A and make stikers on thim like rally cars?
    You only get to choose colours when you purchase a car. No you cannot add decals or designs to them in GT3 A Spec.
    If you want to add crap to the outside of your car, and have a lesser driving experience, try juiced or need for speed underground series.Does any one knows how to paint the cars in GT3 space A and make stikers on thim like rally cars?
    How to paint wooden furnitures? please explain step by step?
    Start by sanding it perfect so that there are no imperfections or chatter marks. Use progressively finer sand paper so that you can't see any sanding scratches. vacuum it thoroughly. Spray on a coat of alkyd primer, wait for it to dry, and sand it with a fine grit sandpaper. Take a shop light and hold it at an angle to reveal any imperfections and fill them with Bondo, wiping the patches tight so that they require less sanding. It usually takes about three passes to really get everything patched perfect. Then sand the patches, vacuum, tack off the piece with a lint-free tack cloth and spray on another coat of alkyd primer tinted to match the finish. wait till dry, sand with a fine grit sandpaper, vacuum the piece and the spray room, tack the piece, and spray on an alkyd enamel. Sprayed finishes tend to be smoother than brushed finishes, and alkyd enamels tend to be smoother and harder than latex finishesHow to paint wooden furnitures? please explain step by step?
    How to paint a car?
    It all depends if you are talking about painting parts on your car or your whole car. If you want to paint your whole car have a body shop do it. The fumes from all the paint will have your neighbors calling the police etc. If they are parts then there wont be much fumes going around. The 1st thing you want to do is take all the old paint off, get it down to bare metal. If you have and dents etc. you will have to but body filler over them and sand them smooth to where it's even with the surrounding area. The next thing is primer. Put 2 to 3 coats on. Let it dry. After it's dry spray a light dusting of black sandable primer. It will show the high spots and low spots. Wet sand the primer with 400 grit sandpaper. Sand the primer until the black primer is gone. If there is metal or body filler showing spray a light coat of primer over it. After the primer is done spray 2 to 4 coats of color. Let it dry for 24 hrs. Then spray 3-5 coats of clear over it. The important thing is don't go to slow or you will have runs in the paint and if you go to fast it's going to look like crap.
