How can you describe the vernacular in Dutch painting. How do you connect it to Bacon's philosophical ideas

Sir Francis Bacon proposed that nature is for the use of man, that things from nature are to be used for and by man. Dutch painting, particularly the still life of over-flowing tables, showed the bounty of nature and it's use by man.

However, Dutch painting also emphasized that all things pass away--the rotting things in the still-life. One could say that although man uses nature, man himself is ruled by the laws of nature and will ultimately die.How can you describe the vernacular in Dutch painting.
