Have 8 ounces of paint but how much more ounces do i need to reach a gallon?

There are 128 ounces to a gallon, so if you have 8 ounces already, you need 128 - 8 = 120 ounces

This assumes that you are talking about fluid ounces.Have 8 ounces of paint but how much more ounces do i need to reach a gallon?

if it is 8 ounces of paint in volume (not weight) then you would just subtract 8 from ounces in a gallon 128 - 8 = 120 more ounces

But if it is by weight then it is impossible to figure out.
120 ounces there are 128 ounces for every 1 gallon
There are 128.04 oz. liquid ounces in one gallon (thats rounding to 2 decimal places) so you need another 120.04 oz. to get a gallon.
8 there are 16 ounces in a whole gallon
If you are talking fluid ounces, then you will need a lot more paint to fill a gallon.

8 oz = 1 cup.

4 cups= 1 qt

4 qts = 1 gal

So: 16 cups in a gallon

You have 1 cup.

That leaves 15 cups.

15*8 = 120

120 oz.
Do you know the weight of a gallon of the paint?
When you know the density of the paint then you can answer the question
