If sara can paint a house in 4 hours, matt can paint it in 6 hours, how long for them to do it together?

I REALLY REALLY need someone to answer this question and show how you did it... that way I have an understanding for these types of questions%26gt;If sara can paint a house in 4 hours, matt can paint it in 6 hours, how long for them to do it together?
let sare be=4/hrs

let matt be=6/hrs

thus: (4/hrs+6/hrs)/2=5/hrsIf sara can paint a house in 4 hours, matt can paint it in 6 hours, how long for them to do it together?
Sara = 1/4 meaning 1 work per 4 hours

Matt = 1/6 meaning 1 work per 6 hours

let x = time it took for them to finish together

Eq. = (1/4)x + (1/6)x = 1 (1 meaning 1 work)

(6/24)x + (4/24)x = 1

10/24x = 1

10x=24

x = 12/5 or 2 and 2/5 hours
