Does anyone know how to remove the road tar from a light colored car, without removing the paint.?

Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions you might have.Does anyone know how to remove the road tar from a light colored car, without removing the paint.?
Yes there is a product you can get at an Auto parts store call 'tar remover'. It will gentle get the tar, grime, whatever off of your vehicle without damaging the paint job. There is one product call 'Tarminator', I've had a lot of customers come in and get it with satisfactory results. You can pick it up at any Checker/Schucks/Kregen/O'Reily Auto store. ;-)Does anyone know how to remove the road tar from a light colored car, without removing the paint.?
Try nail polish remover (try it on an inconspicuous spot first); if that doesn't work, try Oops! or a similar acetone-based cleaner. Gasoline will work, but be VERY careful when you use it. Never use it in an enclosed space, and never use it near ANY source of ignition, or while your car is running.
Cigarette lighter fluid. If you need to remove a lot of tar, you can buy VM%26amp;P Naphtha at Home Depot by the gallon. Ace hardware sells it by the quart. Just be sure there are no open flames or ignition sources nearby because it is highly flammable.

if you are in the UK,(no idea stateside)you can get a product called T-cut from motor acc/shops its very good, when stains/tar gone simply wash off with water and re wax,

use it on a damp cloth and tar just disappears..the paintwork stays put.
Eucalyptus oil works great, put a bit on a cloth and rub it gently. that's how we have always got tar off. comes off really quick. i am in Aus so i think that's how most people do it here.
it's called goof off, you can get it at any car parts store (Autozone, Schucks, O'Reilly's etc) probably at WalMart and such too.
Try smearing peanut butter on it and let it sit for a while. That works for chewing gum on carpet or linoleum. It might work for tar.
Many brands of degreasing solutions are available off the shelves at most supermarkets
